Cleaning and Care of Stove-Enameled and Anodized Aluminum Surfaces
- Before cleaning non-visible surfaces, check the effectiveness of the cleaning agents used to avoid possible damage to the visible surface.
Use clean water to which you add a small amount of a neutral or slightly alkaline special cleaner (e.g., COSMO CL-350.110 for anodized surfaces or COSMO CL-360.110 for painted surfaces).
Please only use soft cloths, sponges, or similar materials for cleaning.
Do not use abrasive or sharp-edged surfaces.
During cleaning, the surface temperature of the coating must not exceed 25°C.Do not clean the coating with a steam jet.
Only use care and cleaning products suitable and approved for aluminum surfaces.
Do not use highly acidic (pH below 3) or highly alkaline (pH above 12) cleaning agents. Do not use surfactants that may react with the product.Do not use abrasives. The use of delicate cotton fabrics for industrial cleaning is recommended. Do not press the fabric too hard against the surface to be cleaned.Organic solvents containing esters, ketones, alcohols, aromatics, glycol esters,
chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc., must not be used.Greasy, oily, and tarry substances can be removed from the surface with petroleum-based solvents free of aromatic compounds.
Adhesive residues, silicone rubber, and adhesive tapes should be removed in the same way.
Cleaning agents must not react with the surface for longer than one hour. If necessary, the cleaning process can be repeated after 24 hours.
The surface must be rinsed immediately after each cleaning.
