For historical preservation projects, it is often necessary to produce exact replicas of the original windows. Likewise, the sophisticated designs of contemporary architecture can also call for unique and unprecedented window constructions. Since the founding of our company, the ability to do both has played to our advantage. Our production department employs master carpenters specializing in the construction of historical windows and uses state-of-the art milling technology for the custom designs it enables.
Thus, we can build box double or pinch rebate windows with putty glazing as well as modern pivot windows and doors or units with asymmetrical shapes.
Pivot windows
Pivot windows are fixed at two opposite points which form the axis of the opening. This can be a useful way of opening especially wide or high glass surfaces meant to be opened for ventilation and cleaning. It can also be a good option to make round or oval window operable.
